Private DJ lessons

Learn the booth.
Find your sound.

Focused one-to-one DJ coaching in Scottsdale, Tempe, or Phoenix, or online through Zoom or FaceTime. Start from the basics or sharpen the part of your mixing that has been holding you back.

Lesson focus

Learn the parts that make a set feel natural.

The session is shaped around your level and goal. You leave with clear next steps, not a pile of theory to memorize.

01 / Foundation

Understand the gear.

Get comfortable with the layout, headphone cueing, track prep, and the controls you will actually use.

02 / Timing

Mix with intention.

Work on beatmatching, phrasing, transitions, and knowing when a track wants to come in or out.

03 / Set architecture

Open. Build. Headline.

Learn why an opening set earns trust, how to build a room without burning it out, and when a headline set should land its biggest moments.

04 / Confidence

Play it through.

Practice decisions in real time so you can trust yourself away from the lesson.

Why live coaching

YouTube can show you a button.
It cannot teach you your mix.

Videos and paid courses are useful references. But they cannot watch how you use the gear, hear why a transition did not land, or give you the exact correction while the track is playing.

01

Private lessons FAQ

What you need to know.

Do I need my own DJ gear?

No. In-person lessons can start with the available setup. The DJ Blueprint will help you understand what you need, what can wait, and what equipment fits your goals.

How long is a private lesson?

Each listed session is 90 minutes. That gives enough time to diagnose, practice, and leave with a useful next step.

Can I learn online?

Yes. Zoom and FaceTime lessons work well for DJs with their own controller and laptop, especially for tune-ups, set feedback, library organization, and Ableton work.

Which lesson tier is right for me?

Start with the DJ Blueprint. It determines whether Foundations, Performance, Ableton Edits & Production, or a longer mentorship path is the right fit.

Are live performance opportunities guaranteed?

No. Performance-ready mentorship clients may be considered for appropriate opportunities through Circle’s Riot Hospitality connection, based on readiness, event needs, and venue approval.
